Charity REVIEWS:

Goldby

Well it all comes unwound for David Brent and on his favourite day of the year. Red Nose Days' are huge in the U.K. people dress up and do weird things for charity, sort of a bit like being in a circus...except they don't do it for charity...they do it for food...same thing yeah? Anyways yep it's the episode where Brent does THAT dance, flashdance infused with MC Hammer shit.

They shouldn't look too gobsmacked after all it's Brent and the staff coaxed him into doing it. Still Neil and Rachel's dance shows off more of their talents to the envy of Brent and delight of Tim. The latter pulls his two top gags on Gareth by kissing him on the lips and hiding all his possessions for charity.

It's a great episode that brings all the background dramas to a head as Dawn blatently reveals her feelings to Tim in a kiss but doesn't break up with Lee - what a cow! You can see Martin Freeman's Tim puzzling over the meaning of the kiss for the rest of the episode and no longer sure about his lovely Rachel.

What some gals with do for a bit of attention...and some guys. Case in point Brent who gets too involved in the wacky humour of red nose day and avoids work he promised the boss he's get done. If it wasn't for his egotistical cheekiness at not doing the right thing he'd probably get away with it but being flip with your boss does no favours.

No wonder they finally demand he take a redundancy package rather than give him three warnings. Although it's nice move by Gervais and Merchant is the direction and performance that although you want to see BRent get the arse you also feel sorry for it happening and Neil and Jenny being so nice yet ruthless with the way they give it too him. Nice pathos. 8/10

Favourite bits:

Tim hiding all Gareth's posessions

Most Cringe worthy:

the redundancy offer given to Brent and his reaction.
